A Guide to optimize campaigns for advertisers (New UI)

Written by Olga

Now that the campaign has been created and the test budget has been spent, you can move on to optimization — this will help make your advertising more effective and increase your profit with Kadam.net.

Campaign optimization is based on several key steps:
1. Adjusting targeting settings based on the overall campaign statistics.
2. Optimizing creatives.
3. Adjusting bids based on campaign buyout/performance.
4. Testing new ad formats for your products.

Our platform offers convenient and effective tools for campaign optimization. In order to optimize campaigns directly within our service, it is very important to send conversion/lead statistics to us directly, or work through a tracker → Kadam setup.

To do this, you must set up a Postback integration. A general guide for setting up Postback for CPA is available at the following link.

Once the statistics integration is configured, you can proceed with the optimization itself. Below, we will explain each step in more detail:

1. Adjusting targeting settings based on the overall campaign statistics

In order to optimize buyout/performance for your current campaigns, it is important to be able to analyze your account statistics. In this section, you can review your account statistics using the data breakdowns most relevant to your needs. You can read more about the available grouping options here.

This tool allows you to identify strong and weak traffic segments, so you can disable underperforming targeting options in both active and test campaigns.
We monitor the quality of our traffic on a daily basis and, of course, stand behind it. However, every product has its own target audience, and optimization is what helps identify the most suitable traffic sources for it.
Traffic segments with the best ROI can be launched as separate campaigns with higher bids in order to receive more traffic that is relevant to your product.

2. Optimizing creatives

When working with push notifications, native ads, and banners, the main focus should be placed on the ad creatives themselves. For this purpose, our platform provides convenient creative-level statistics.

You can find this section in the creative management tab by clicking on the campaign name.

Using this tool, you can evaluate the performance of your creatives over a selected period and decide whether to pause or scale them based on the statistical data. You can also sort creatives by one of the available metrics, such as impressions, clicks, CPC, and others.

By using this data, you can focus on your best-performing creatives and add similar ones — this will directly improve the effectiveness of your advertising.
Do not forget to pause underperforming creatives by editing them or replacing them with more suitable alternatives. All of this can be done directly within this section.

3. Adjusting bids based on campaign buyout/performance

Your campaign bids directly affect the amount of traffic you receive, which means they can be used to regulate traffic volume.

You can adjust bids either in the campaign settings:

Or in the site statistics section (if you need to increase or decrease bids for several specific sites in our system).

4. Testing new ad formats for your products

Different ad formats work better for different offers, so one of the ways to optimize and scale your product advertising is to test new ad formats. Below are a few examples of verticals that perform well with each format:

  • Push notifications. An excellent format for reach and retargeting campaigns across almost all verticals, including e-commerce, games and mobile apps, sports betting, finance, nutra, news and content, dating, sweepstakes, and giveaways.

  • Clickunder. Like the previous format, it works well for reach and retargeting campaigns, as well as for fast-demand products and services. Recommended verticals include games and mobile apps, news and content, sports betting, sweepstakes and giveaways, adult products and services, news and update subscriptions, browser extensions, and software.

  • Native ads. This format performs well across virtually any vertical and on any device. The results depend mainly on your creatives and campaign settings.

  • Banners. A suitable format for promoting impulse-purchase products, as well as adult products and services.

  • In-Page Push. Unlike classic push notifications, In-Page Push appears directly on website pages, similar to a catfish format. That is why a teaser-style approach tends to work best here. Everything that performs well in teaser traffic usually works effectively with In-Page Push too: nutra, physical products, news, dating, finance, gambling, and cryptocurrencies.

We would also like to remind you that you can always contact our support team, who will be happy to help you choose the most suitable format for your offer.
