CPA Target campaign creating

Written by Olga

CPA Target campaigns — campaigns where you set the target CPA (the average amount you want to pay for each conversion), and the smart bid algorithm automatically sets bids to help you get as many conversions as possible.

To create a CPA Target campaign, click "+ Create Campaign" and choose "CPA Target" in the Payment model field.

Cost Per Action

The average amount you want to pay for each conversion. The target cost per conversion represents the average value within the received traffic.

The system will optimize ad impressions to achieve the desired result.

When you check the "Receive conversion cost from postback" option, at the moment of receiving the first traffic the campaign uses the amount set in the "Cost Per Action" field. After the first conversions are received, the campaign starts using the cost sent by the advertiser in the postback.

Postback integration settings

In the CPA Target campaign settings there is a dedicated "Postback integration settings" block. Here you configure how conversion statuses sent by your tracker or partner program are interpreted by Kadam.

Available parameters:

  • Integration template — choose a ready-made template from the dropdown. The list contains partner programs available in our database. When you select a template, the status fields below are filled in automatically.

  • Approved — the status value that marks a conversion as confirmed.

  • Hold — the status value that marks a conversion as pending.

  • Rejected — the status value that marks a conversion as rejected.

If your partner program is not in the template list, you can specify the status values manually.

Conversion notification

For the CPA Target model, you need to set up a notification about a successful conversion. Information about a completed conversion is sent in one way — through a Postback URL call.

Postback URL

Postback is a mechanism that allows conversion information to be transferred from the advertiser's CRM to the Kadam system. Other names for postback: pingback, server-to-server pixel (s2s pixel), s2s postback, server tracking postback.

Detailed information on setting up conversion notifications via Postback can be found at this link.

Allowed formats for this payment model

Push, In-Page Push, and Popunder (Clickunder).

IMPORTANT!

After adding ad materials to the campaign, be sure to run a test conversion to check that the postback is working. For more details on test conversions, see the article.
